One "hello" is easy to ignore. A long, cheerful stack of them is hard to miss, and it tells the other person you were thinking of them enough to bother.
Haven't talked to an old friend in months? A pile of hellos is a lighter way back into the chat than a stiff "how have you been?"
Use "Hello", "Namaste" or a nickname only the two of you use, then add an emoji that fits your mood.
Everything is built inside your browser, so even thousands of lines appear in a blink and nothing is uploaded anywhere.
A hello to your cousin and a hello to your crush should not look the same. Choose a count that matches the situation.
Friendly and quick. Good for a classmate, a neighbour or a friend who is slow to reply.
Hard to scroll past and still playful. Works well to wake up a quiet chat or a sleepy friend.
Keep this for the people who love the chaos. Your best friend or your partner will understand the joke at once.
Type "Hello" once, choose how many times it should repeat, and copy the whole block in one tap. You can change the greeting, add a name or an emoji, and turn on line numbers before pasting it into WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram or email. This page covers who deserves which count, greetings in other languages, and the situations where a hello flood will get you ignored instead of answered.
Saying hello is the lightest message there is, so the count does most of the talking. A small stack says "hey, I'm here" and a huge one says "answer me, I'm bored". Use these as a guide.
| Who | Count | What to type |
|---|---|---|
| A friend who has gone quiet | 20โ50 | Hello? Anyone alive in there? ๐ |
| An old classmate you found again | 10โ25 | Hello, remember me? ๐ |
| Your partner, first thing in the morning | 50โ200 | Hello, sunshine โ๏ธ |
| A sibling or cousin who left you on read | 100โ1,000 | HELLO?? ๐ |
| A long-distance friend in another time zone | 24 | Hello from my side of the clock ๐ |
| Someone you only just met | 1โ3 | Hello, nice to meet you ๐ |
The time-zone row is a small trick: set the count to 24 with line numbers on, and the message reads like one hello for every hour you were apart.
Whatever you type is what gets repeated, which makes this a good place to use a greeting from your own language or theirs:
Read the preview before copying. If a script shows up as empty boxes, the device is missing a font for it, and the person you send it to may see the same thing.
The emoji is repeated on every line, so choose it on purpose. ๐ is the classic wave and works for nearly anyone. ๐ and ๐ keep things gentle. ๐ and ๐ add a little "why are you ignoring me" energy, which is funny between friends and irritating between strangers. โ๏ธ suits a good-morning text, and ๐ is the safe choice for teachers, relatives and anyone you want to be respectful to.
| App | Count | Note |
|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp or Telegram, one person | 20โ500 | Fine when they find it funny. If they have not replied in days, go lower. |
| Group chat | 5โ10 | A long block pushes real conversation off the screen and annoys people who muted nothing. |
| Instagram comment | 5โ15 | Comments have a character cap, and a huge block on someone's post looks like spam. |
| Instagram DM or Snapchat | 20โ60 | Limits differ between versions, so paste a small batch first. |
| Discord | 10โ150 | Standard accounts stop at 2,000 characters per message, so longer text must be pasted in parts. |
"Hello ๐" with its line break is about 9 characters, which makes "hello" one of the lightest phrases you can repeat. A hundred lines is roughly 900 characters and fits anywhere. A thousand lines is about 9,000 characters: Telegram's 4,096-character limit turns that into three messages, and Discord's 2,000 into five. At 10,000 lines you are near 90,000 characters, so paste it in several chunks and keep an eye on whether each part arrived.
Repeated hellos work best as the opening of something, not the whole message. A few ways to use them:
